Somerset Council is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator – Education Leadership to support our Education Relationships and Early Years Team. This permanent role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with most tasks carried out from home and a base in South Somerset. As an Administrator – Education Leadership, you’ll play a pivotal part in helping deliver vital services that support children and families across the region. You’ll organise multi-agency meetings, manage sensitive enquiries, and ensure senior leaders receive accurate, timely reports. Administrator – Education Leadership: Key Responsibilities

Use data systems to prepare reports for senior officers.

Lead the coordination, scheduling, and minuting of internal and multi-agency meetings.

Act as the first point of contact for sensitive or complex enquiries, resolving or escalating them appropriately.

Maintain effective communication with professionals from various agencies, handling arrangements and follow-ups with accuracy and confidentiality.
What We’re Looking For in an Administrator – Education Leadership
We welcome applications from individuals with a passion for supporting educational improvement and strong admin skills. To succeed in the Administrator – Education Leadership role, you should have:

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and make informed decisions under pressure.

Experience in administrative roles, especially supporting meetings and office functions.

Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, SharePoint).

GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or QCF Level 2.

Salary: Grade 14 (£19,523 to £20,146 per annum, based on 29.6 hours/week)
