Position Overview:
As a Clinical Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the daily clinical functions of the department to support Sutter Health’s core goals: patient safety, quality care, affordability, access, and satisfaction. You’ll plan, develop, and continually improve patient care services in alignment with current standards and regulations. With a strong focus on Lean methodology, you’ll help establish and implement best practices across teams. This leadership role includes guiding supervisors and staff to enhance efficiency, optimize workflows, and drive success through collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including local, state, and federal agencies.
Qualifications:
Education:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

OR a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Department-Specific Requirements – Home Health:
-
Prior to 11/10/2024: Experience in health service administration and at least one year of supervisory/administrative experience in home health or a related healthcare setting
-
After 11/10/2024: Must be a physician, registered nurse, or hold an undergraduate degree with at least one year of relevant leadership experience in home health or a related field
Experience:
-
Minimum of 8 years of recent, relevant clinical or healthcare leadership experience
Skills & Knowledge:
-
Deep clinical knowledge related to patient populations served

Solid understanding of clinical operations, cross-functional workflows, and how specific processes impact broader healthcare delivery

Strong leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, and team-building

Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards and the ability to implement them effectively

Budget management and analytical planning experience

Ability to identify and resolve complex operational challenges

Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Commitment to customer service and a patient-first mindset

Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic settings with shifting priorities

Position Details:

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday (some weekend availability as needed)

Work Environment: May involve handling hazardous medications per USP 800 and NIOSH guidelines
Compensation:

Pay range: $86.77 – $138.83 per hour

Final compensation will vary based on location, experience, education, licensure, and internal equity. This role is also eligible for a full range of benefits as part of Sutter Health’s comprehensive rewards package.
