This part-time maternity cover role is perfect for someone who thrives in a compassionate, fast-paced environment and enjoys making a real difference.
As an Adoptions Coordinator, 9 month fixed term contract, you’ll ensure our adoption processes are efficient and empathetic, matching pets with loving new homes while supporting adopters throughout the journey. This position is based on a two-week rota including weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities – Adoptions Coordinator, 9 month fixed term contract

Coordinate the pet adoption process from assessment to placement

Collaborate with Pet Welfare Assistants and other coordinators across the network

Match pets with potential adopters using a careful and considered approach

Provide post-adoption support and guidance

Maintain accurate records and follow internal adoption procedures
Working Pattern
Week 1: Wednesday & Friday
Week 2: Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday
What We’re Looking For

Strong communication skills (verbal & written)

Experience in a client-facing, animal-related environment

Good understanding of pet behaviour and welfare

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under emotional pressure with resilience and empathy

High attention to detail and capable of working independently

Full UK driving license required
Desirable but not essential:

Experience with volunteers or safeguarding

Previous use of CRM systems

Client relationship management background
