Summary
The AEP Foreman F1 is a skilled leadership role responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems. This position ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities

Perform all duties of a Journeyman with added supervisory responsibilities.

Lead and mentor a crew of 4–5 workers.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.

Interact with employees, customers, and the public in a professional manner.

Review and interpret blueprints to ensure projects meet building and code requirements.
-
Manage project timelines, resources, and deadlines under demanding conditions.
-
Participate in ongoing training and education.
-
Complete additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
High school diploma or GED required.
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the electrical services industry.

CDL Class A license preferred (or CDL beginner’s permit within 60 days).

OSHA 30-hour Safety Training Program to be completed within 90 days.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Outdoor work in extreme weather conditions, confined spaces, and heavy equipment “red zones.”

Requires frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, kneeling, crawling, and standing.

Must remain alert with strong hand-eye coordination for safe operations.

Travel required, including irregular hours and emergency response.
Additional Requirements

Pass drug screens (pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion).

Valid U.S. work authorization (E-Verify).

Pre-employment background check and medical fit-for-duty test (DOT medical card required).

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
