About the Role
ByteDance Networking combines cutting-edge network architecture, SDN, virtualization, and hardware/software co-design to build hyperscale data center networks powering top apps like TikTok and Douyin, serving hundreds of millions globally. The team designs, builds, and operates a global, intelligent network infrastructure focused on high availability, scalability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
-
Design, implement, and deploy high-speed network technologies supporting AI/LLM applications.

Develop platforms for monitoring, analyzing, and diagnosing large-scale AI/LLM networks.

Research and build high-performance AI communication frameworks, protocols, and co-optimized host-network-application solutions.

Innovate next-generation AI network infrastructure supporting diverse hardware and scalable deployments.
Qualifications:

Recent or current PhD graduate in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Network Engineering, or related fields.

Proficient in computer networking and network programming.

Skilled in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Go.

Familiarity with high-speed networking advances like RDMA, congestion control, and AI network optimization.
Preferred:

Experience developing high-performance communication frameworks (NCCL, MPI, RPC).

Experience with AI network diagnosis and performance optimization software.
Compensation & Benefits:

Annual base salary range: $137,750 – $237,500 (varies by qualifications and location).
