About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Air Traffic Systems Electrician to join our team supporting installations for the FAA’s Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5). In this role, you will install and upgrade navigational aids, communication systems, and weather monitoring equipment at airports and remote sites across the U.S. National Air Space (NAS).

This opportunity combines technical expertise with nationwide travel, working on mission-critical systems that ensure aviation safety and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install 110v circuits from breaker panels to equipment locations

  • Bend and mount conduit, grounding bus bars, and stainless-steel boxes

  • Mount Teleco wallboards on facility walls

  • Install and upgrade air traffic systems, including:

    • Instrument Landing Systems (ILS)

    • Visual landing aids (PAPI, REIL)

    • Remote communications systems (RCAG, RTR)

    • Radar systems (ASR, ARSR)

  • Perform both electrical installations and civil construction tasks

  • Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, and safety standards

  • Collaborate with a construction and installation crew on nationwide projects


Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Electrician (active certification required)

  • 8+ years of electrical installation experience, including:

    • Above/below-ground systems

    • Duct banks, manholes, towers, poles, and racks

    • Concrete work and excavation equipment operations

    • Airfield electrical systems

  • Strong knowledge of construction safety and quality best practices

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications

  • Experience using electrical and electronic test equipment

  • Must be able to:

    • Travel 100% nationwide (including U.S. territories)

    • Pass a government background check

    • Pass a DOT physical and fleet driver motor vehicle history check

  • OSHA 30 training (preferred)


Desired Skills

  • Strong customer service background working directly with site owners

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for daily/weekly reporting


About the FAA T5 Contract

Awarded in April 2023, the FAA’s T5 contract is a $1.8B+ program with a 4-year base and two 3-year extensions. Work includes site selection, engineering, construction, environmental safety, installation, and testing of air traffic systems nationwide.
