About the Role
Join our dynamic and forward-thinking Acute Medical Unit (AMU) as a dedicated doctor focused on improving patient care and clinical service delivery. In this rewarding and collaborative role, you will help streamline medical admissions, support efficient patient flow, and enhance the management of short-stay inpatients.
This is a fantastic opportunity to drive meaningful change within your own medical subspecialty, while mentoring junior doctors and playing a pivotal role in supporting front-door services and key Trust performance targets.
Key Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with the AMU team to manage medical admissions and meet Trust KPIs

Lead or support service improvement within your subspecialty interest

Help deliver effective front-door medical services to support patient flow

Maintain excellent outcomes for short-stay inpatients by supporting AMU targets on length of stay

Mentor and teach junior medical staff, supporting their clinical development

Participate in the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) on-call rota
