Ascension is seeking a Remote Payer Contract Manager to join our Network Services team. This full-time, Monday–Friday position offers a competitive salary of $91,107 – $126,998 per year and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will manage payer and employer contracts, support value-based initiatives, and provide strategic insights to optimize contracting performance.
Key Responsibilities

Negotiate, review, and manage payer and direct employer contracts.

Develop and support contracting for value-based population health and new reimbursement models.

Conduct financial modeling for contracting efforts to ensure negotiated rates meet objectives.

Monitor financial and operational performance of contracts; provide actionable reports and recommendations for renewals, renegotiations, or terminations.

Serve as a relationship manager with payers to ensure proper communication, compliance, and delegated credentialing.

Create reports and reporting solutions specific to payer relations, managed care, and contracting needs.
Requirements
Education & Experience:

High School diploma with 3 years of relevant experience OR
-
Associate/Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR
-
7 years of applicable job-specific experience.

3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

3–5 years of ancillary contracting experience preferred.
Skills & Qualifications:

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a remote setting.
