About the Job

Join the only state agency in Arizona dedicated to conserving and protecting over 800 wildlife species. At AZGFD, you’ll be part of a passionate team making a positive impact on outdoor recreation across the state — from fishing, boating, and off-highway vehicle use to shooting sports, hunting, and wildlife watching. Our biologists use the best science available, and our wildlife managers work directly within communities every day to make a difference.

Beyond fieldwork, AZGFD offers numerous opportunities across the agency. We value the diversity of Arizona’s people, landscapes, and wildlife. However you choose to engage with Arizona’s great outdoors, we believe it should be open and accessible to all.

The Department operates under the authority of the Arizona Game and Fish Commission and is responsible for managing fish, wildlife, and their habitats through conservation efforts, law enforcement, hunting and fishing programs, watercraft and off-highway vehicle recreation, and shooting sports initiatives. At AZGFD, we are committed to excellence, stewardship, teamwork, and building strong partnerships.
