About the Role

Clarkson Evans, the UK’s largest electrical and solar installer in the new-build housing sector, is offering a 4-year Apprentice Electrician programme. This hands-on apprenticeship will train you to become a fully qualified electrician, focusing on new home installations.

You’ll spend most of your time working on active construction sites within a 1-hour radius of the Milton Keynes branch, alongside a small, experienced team. One day a week will be allocated to off-the-job training through remote learning and practical sessions at one of our training centres.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in wiring new-build homes from start to finish

  • Learn to install, test, and certify electrical systems

  • Follow safety regulations and instructions from senior electricians

  • Take part in weekly training and remote learning

  • Maintain a flexible and hardworking attitude

  • Contribute positively to team performance and dynamics

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, early starts (typically 7:00 am or earlier)

  • Finish times vary based on workload

  • Occasional weekend or evening work during busy periods

What You’ll Need

  • Age Requirement: 18 or over

  • Driving Licence: Full UK manual licence (essential)

  • Education: GCSE grade C / 4 or higher in Maths and English (or equivalent)

  • Interest in practical work: DIY or hands-on experience is valued

  • Physical fitness: Comfortable with manual, demanding tasks

  • Team mindset: Willingness to support and learn from colleagues
