Job Summary
Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AR Follow Up Specialist to join our remote team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for investigating and resolving aged insurance claims by working directly with payers to drive payment or close out balances. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a problem-solving, research-heavy environment and understands the intricacies of the healthcare revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities

Follow up on unresolved or aged insurance claims via phone and payer portals

Determine reasons for delayed or missing payments and take corrective action

Resolve complex issues including out-of-network, work comp, and other payer-related discrepancies

Handle patient balances and support special projects as needed

Accurately summarize findings and updates in account notes

Collaborate with internal departments to support revenue cycle operations

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

2+ years of experience in A/R follow-up or insurance collections (required)

Medical billing and hospital claims experience preferred

Strong research, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

Excellent verbal communication and written documentation skills

Prior office and computer experience in a fast-paced environment
