SUMMARY OF DUTIES A person who, under the authority of the director of Youth protection and the persons appointed by him, carries out the following activities
This person assumes responsibilities relating to the management of files, the coding of file elements, the quantitative and qualitative analysis of files, the application of the policy for the disclosure of information in the file; and is responsible for researching, collecting, analyzing and interpreting statistical data.
The main tasks include
- Ensure the design and quality maintenance of the file;
- Ensure and follows the measures of security, safety, and confidentiality, with discretion of all materials;
- Analyze the entire file to ensure the presence and compliance of the information necessary to build an accurate and complete file;
- Ensure access to the user’s file by authorized persons (client, internal professionals, external collaborators, etc.), in accordance with laws, regulations and policies on confidentiality;
- Ensure the application of the retention schedule of the user file;
- Collaborate in the sound management of the archives;
Requirements
- Must hold a college diploma in medical archival techniques or a medical archivist diploma from a school recognized by the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport or a diploma recognized by the Association des gestionnaires de l’information de la santé du Québec;
- Good knowledge of the laws and regulations in force (AYP, AJSSS, YCJA, Access to Information Act, Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information, etc.);
- Two (2) years of experience in the health network in a similar position;
- Excellent command of French and English (written and spoken), Inuktitut would be (an asset);
- In-depth knowledge of the following software MS Office Suite;
- Ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge;
- Great autonomy, initiative, sense of organization and responsibility;
