Position Overview:
North Carolina Central University’s Department of Public Health Education, within the College of Health and Sciences, invites applications for a tenure-eligible faculty position in Health Administration. The successful candidate will serve as the lead faculty member for the Online Bachelor of Science in Health Administration Flight Path Program, teaching 3–4 courses per semester in a fully online format and contributing to the department’s mission of preparing students for leadership roles in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach undergraduate courses in Health Systems, Ethics, Law, Risk Management, Informatics, Quality Management, Finance, and Strategic Leadership.

Develop engaging, online course materials and student assessments in CANVAS or a similar LMS.

Advise and mentor students in experiential learning and capstone projects.

Contribute to departmental, university, and professional service activities.

Conduct and publish research in healthcare management, policy, finance, technology, or quality improvement.

Participate in community and professional initiatives that support healthcare leadership and education.
Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Health Administration or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

Demonstrated teaching experience, preferably online at the university level.

Evidence of scholarly research and publication record or the potential to develop one.

Experience using CANVAS or another LMS platform.
Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certification such as FACHE, CPHQ, CMM, CHC, CHAP, CPHRM, CPHIMS, or CHFP.

Experience with accreditation processes (e.g., CAHME).

ACUE or equivalent certification in quality online instruction.
