Position Summary
Marucci Sports is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead month-end close processes, reconciliations, audits, and financial reporting. This individual will be a key partner to the Controller and CFO, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the month-end financial close process, including reconciliations, accruals, and analysis.

Prepare and review closing journal entries to support consolidated financial reporting.

Assist with internal and external audit coordination.

Support daily accounting operations across AP, AR, and sales tax.

Contribute to ERP development, testing, and system improvements.

Assist with SOX compliance and SEC reporting requirements.

Provide financial insights and reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Supervise and support accounting staff, delegating tasks effectively.

Partner with the CFO, Controller, and other departments on financial initiatives.
Qualifications
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
-
Active CPA license (strongly preferred)
Experience:
-
3+ years of full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting

Experience in Big 4 or large regional public accounting, OR mid-to-large corporate accounting

Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Navision/BC14 a plus)

Experience with SEC reporting and SOX compliance
Skills:

Advanced Microsoft Excel; strong Microsoft Office skills
