Job Summary
The Assistant Instructor provides instructional and academic support to learners through 1:1 coaching, instructional resources, and weekly synchronous sessions. This role focuses on building an engaging, learner-centered online community while supporting courses in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Key Responsibilities

Build and foster an online learning environment focused on continuous improvement.

Create and share engaging learning resources using text, video, and other technologies.

Lead courseroom discussions and weekly synchronous contact sessions.

Assess learner comprehension through rubrics, assignments, and discussions.

Stay current with instructional technologies (e.g., Yellowdig, Kaltura, Engageli).

Maintain accurate learner records and provide timely feedback.

Participate in training, team meetings, and professional development.
Job Skills
-
Experience with teaching, tutoring, or academic coaching.

Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Knowledge of adult learning theory and diverse learning styles.

Comfortable using technology to facilitate online learning.

Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
Qualifications
-
Education: MS or PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis or a closely related field (required).

Certification: BCBA or BCBA-D certification (required).

Experience:
-
At least 3 years in Applied Behavior Analysis.

1 year of post-BCBA experience.

Experience in Organizational Behavior Management (required).

Graduate assistant or teaching experience preferred.

Work Environment & Requirements

Remote “home office” with high-speed internet, printer, and phone line.

Must ensure professional, distraction-free environment.
-
May require >40 hours during peak business needs.

Occasional travel (up to 10%) by car, metro, or plane.

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits
-
Hourly rate: $17.75 – $27.00 (starting at $18.00).

Overtime eligible (non-exempt role).
