Position Overview
The Assistant Instructor provides academic support to learners through 1:1 coaching, instructional materials, and weekly synchronous contact sessions. This role fosters learner engagement, delivers instructional support, and contributes to a collaborative online community.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Build and sustain an online learning community focused on growth and continuous improvement.

Use text, video, and technology platforms (Yellowdig, Kaltura, Engageli, etc.) to enhance learning.

Lead and comment in course discussions.

Conduct weekly synchronous contact sessions with students.

Assess learning outcomes using rubrics, assignments, and informal assessments.

Maintain accurate learner records and monitor progress.

Provide consistent weekend check-ins in the courseroom.
Job Skills & Competencies

Teaching/tutoring experience with excellent communication skills.

Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.

Ability to adapt to evolving technology and pedagogy.

Skilled in relationship-building, customer service, and problem-solving.

Knowledge of adult learning theory and diverse learning styles.

Comfortable with virtual teaching environments.
Required Experience & Education
-
Professional Experience:
-
2+ years in discipline for undergraduate teaching, 3+ years for graduate level.

3 years in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) required.

1 year of post-BCBA experience required.

Experience in Organizational Behavior Management required.

Graduate Assistant or teaching experience preferred.

Education: MS or PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis or a closely related field.

Certification: Active BCBA or BCBA-D required.
Additional Requirements

Authorized to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship not available).

Ability to work more than 40 hours/week if business needs require.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, travel occasionally by plane/car/metro.

Must maintain professional home office free from distractions.

Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay Range: $17.75 – $27.00 (based on skills, experience, and location).
