Job Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Manager, Marketing & Communications to help craft and execute communications strategies for our social impact campaigns. This role will also focus on managing the Ad Council’s brand presence on social media, thought leadership initiatives, and collaborations with brand partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support development and execution of PR and social media programs (B2B and B2C).

  • Draft press releases, talking points, speeches, blog posts, and social content.

  • Manage external agencies/freelancers and support day-to-day implementation.

  • Conduct background research on reporters, bloggers, and spokespeople.

  • Collaborate with campaign managers and clients on PR/social media strategies.

  • Manage social content calendars for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.

  • Provide support for campaign launches, content shoots, and brand events (occasional travel, ~5%).

  • Handle administrative duties including SOW processing and billing tracking.

What You’ll Bring

  • 1+ years’ experience in social media, PR, communications, or journalism.

  • Strong writing and communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences.

  • Knowledge of PR tactics, social media strategies, and digital platforms.

  • Strategic thinker, detail-oriented, and effective project manager.

  • Strong team collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google applications.

  • Passion for social good, volunteering, and philanthropy a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $64,000–$66,000 annually (plus overtime eligibility, annual incentive).
