About the Role
adidas is seeking an Assistant Manager, Social Media to drive innovation, storytelling, and content publishing across adidas’ owned and partner social media platforms. You will work closely with the Senior Manager, Social Media to execute campaigns, influence day-to-day publishing, and ensure the brand’s social presence resonates with key communities.
This role focuses on Originals/Lifestyle, Sportswear, and/or Outdoor categories, with a secondary focus on the broader adidas brand ecosystem. You will help craft engaging content, amplify campaigns across digital channels, and ensure adidas remains best-in-class for both paid and organic social media.
Key Responsibilities

Execute social media strategy across select adidas brand channels (calendar management, content readiness, social listening, and reactive publishing).

Collaborate with NAM social media publishers to manage and protect adidas’ brand presence.

Partner with PR, partner activations, analytics, and influencer teams to optimize the publishing mix across owned, earned, and paid channels.

Support the creation of effective editorial calendars and platform-specific post plans.

Develop publishing plans for adidas partners and athletes aligned with category social strategies.

Listen, engage, analyze, and moderate social communities; adjust strategy based on data insights.

Participate in cross-functional projects for larger adidas brand initiatives.

Track trends, identify opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

Monitor performance against KPIs and report outcomes for content and campaigns.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Deep understanding of social media platforms (Meta, TikTok, X, Snapchat, YouTube, Pinterest) and community management.

Excellent writing, storytelling, and oral communication skills.

Ability to collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams.

Experience in editorial planning across PR and social channels.

Proficiency with social media analytics and publishing tools (e.g., Khoros, Sprinklr, Talkwalker).

Strong presentation, organizational, and project management skills.

Knowledge and passion for sports, music, streetwear, and fashion.

Experience with influencer and creator-led marketing.

Social content creation expertise.

Fluent in written and spoken English.
Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS in Marketing, Advertising, or related field.

2+ years of social marketing experience (sporting/consumer goods companies or agency experience preferred).

Strong understanding of social media trends and best practices.

Passion for youth, sports marketing, and streetwear culture.

Fluency in English.
