Assistant Project Manager – HVAC Construction

Role Overview:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support all phases of HVAC construction, ensuring projects meet budget, deadlines, and quality standards while maintaining safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document Control: Organize and distribute contract documents, track RFIs, manage project documentation, and oversee closeout materials.
  • Scope Management: Identify, track, and report changes to the project scope.
  • Procurement Support: Maintain equipment procurement logs and track tool/equipment rentals.
  • Safety Compliance: Conduct site walkthroughs and assist with safety enforcement.
  • Estimation: Work with vendors to estimate projects and utilize estimating software.
  • Job Costing & Productivity Tracking: Assist in monitoring labor productivity and project costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in the building & construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of design, business administration, and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
