Assistant Project Manager – HVAC Construction
Role Overview:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support all phases of HVAC construction, ensuring projects meet budget, deadlines, and quality standards while maintaining safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Control: Organize and distribute contract documents, track RFIs, manage project documentation, and oversee closeout materials.
- Scope Management: Identify, track, and report changes to the project scope.
- Procurement Support: Maintain equipment procurement logs and track tool/equipment rentals.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct site walkthroughs and assist with safety enforcement.
- Estimation: Work with vendors to estimate projects and utilize estimating software.
- Job Costing & Productivity Tracking: Assist in monitoring labor productivity and project costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in the building & construction industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction documents.
- Knowledge of design, business administration, and project management principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
