Position Summary
Ulta Beauty is seeking an Associate Brand Manager to support the execution of brand strategies aimed at driving sales, margin growth, inventory optimization, and space productivity. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Management

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the business area strategy

  • Assist in the preparation of category reviews

  • Manage specific segments within the business area to support overall goals

Product Development

  • Drive innovation pipelines and timelines for new product launches

  • Write detailed product briefs and manage end-to-end development

  • Source strategically and manage vendor relationships

  • Oversee product testing, regulatory compliance, and fragrance/shade naming (in coordination with Legal)

  • Collaborate with packaging designers and oversee development

  • Maintain development trackers and ensure timely item setup and delivery

  • Manage launch timelines, forecast trackers, and purchase order deadlines

Marketing Execution

  • Lead development and rollout of 360° marketing plans for key launches

  • Own dotcom brand presentation strategies

  • Oversee Ulta Beauty Collection’s role in corporate marketing, PR, influencer content, and sample turnover

  • Manage the sampling strategy and CRM campaigns, including sample development and budget oversight

  • Partner with buyers to secure in-store off-shelf placement and create supporting marketing materials

Trend Monitoring

  • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and consumer trends to identify opportunities or threats

Planogram Management

  • Own the planogram process, including item adds/deletes, productivity analysis, item setup, fixture development, and graphic coordination

  • Collaborate with marketing on visual elements and ensure accuracy of shelf strips and schematics

Additional Responsibilities

  • Generate, analyze, and present business reports using BW, SAP, or merchandising tools

  • Complete internal training and development programs

  • Foster cross-functional relationships across Distribution, eCommerce, Marketing, Operations, Planning, and Brand Partners

  • Manage vendor performance and relationships to meet profitability goals

  • Negotiate vendor terms, costs, exclusivity, and new product offerings in line with business objectives


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in merchandising, planning, or inventory management; product development experience strongly preferred

  • Skills:

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP and SAP HANA is a plus

    • Strong analytical and financial acumen

    • Creative thinker with a passion for the beauty industry

    • Confident in leading supplier meetings and cross-functional initiatives


Working Conditions
This is a full-time role based in an office environment with occasional travel required. Standard workweek is approximately 40 hours, with flexibility during deadlines or major projects.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary Range: $66,200 – $84,052.80

  • Eligibility for performance-based bonuses

  • Full-time associates receive a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance
