Associate Data Analyst Job Overview

Team USA is looking for a passionate and analytical Associate Data Analyst who thrives on solving problems and driving data-informed decisions. As an Associate Data Analyst, you will play a key role in advancing data integrity, streamlining data integration, and promoting a culture of analytics across departments within the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC). Associate Data Analyst Responsibilities

As an Associate Data Analyst, you’ll help modernize the organization’s data systems and strengthen its foundation for informed decision-making. Your key responsibilities will include:

Data Integrity

  • Support continuous data validation and cleansing to maintain master data accuracy.

  • Build and monitor automated audit reports to identify and correct data inconsistencies.

  • Implement and track quality control and data verification protocols.

  • Conduct audits to ensure data consistency, completeness, and reliability.

Data Governance

  • Contribute to documentation of key metrics and logic to support the data catalog and warehouse.

  • Align governance policies with strategic objectives and evolving data needs.

  • Establish and maintain data standards, naming conventions, and best practices across the organization.

  • Participate in stewardship initiatives that build transparency and data trust.

Data Collection & Integration

  • Aggregate, clean, and integrate new data sources in line with organizational standards.

  • Support historical data migration during system transitions.

  • Organize spreadsheet-based data for automated reporting pipelines and dashboards.

  • Assist with cloud-based and on-premise data source integrations.

Data Education & Consulting

  • Participate in Data Office Hours to address ad hoc data requests.

  • Create educational materials and lead short workshops to build organization-wide data literacy.

  • Translate complex business questions into actionable data insights.

  • Develop clear visualizations and reports for non-technical stakeholders.


Associate Data Analyst Qualifications

To succeed as an Associate Data Analyst, you should bring a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and teamwork.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, visualization, or management.

  • Proficiency with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

  • Working knowledge of Python, R, or SQL preferred.

  • Experience with data collection, aggregation, and automated web scraping a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and problem-solving mindset.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain data insights clearly.

  • Passion for continuous learning and innovation in data analytics.

Work Environment & Benefits

  • Location: Colorado Springs Downtown Headquarters (Remote options available).

  • Equipment: Standard office tools and computer setup.

  • Travel: Some domestic and international travel required.

  • Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

  • Salary Range: $56,000–$65,000 annually.

  • Bonus: Eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program (10% target).
