The Role

If you’re a recent engineering graduate eager to gain hands-on experience building scalable, cloud-based software, Veeva’s Engineering Development Program (EDP) offers the ideal opportunity. As an Associate DevOps Engineer, you’ll join small, collaborative teams alongside experienced product and engineering leaders to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge solutions to our global customers.

You’ll be part of the Vault DevOps Team, which plays a vital role across the full product lifecycle. Using a mix of modern technologies, languages, and best practices, you’ll help accelerate and enhance how Vault is developed and deployed—ensuring both speed and quality.

This is a hybrid position requiring you to work onsite 4 days per week at our Pleasanton, California office during your first two years. After that, you’ll have the flexibility to Work Anywhere.


What You’ll Do

  • Help design and maintain a fully automated, large-scale environment that launches hundreds of AWS EC2 instances and executes millions of tests daily

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to build tools and systems that enhance both speed and quality of product delivery

  • Develop code and automation that enables the Vault team to access insights and answers quickly and efficiently


What We’re Looking For

  • Based near Pleasanton, CA and available to work in the office 4 days per week

  • Strong foundation in computer science principles (data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming)

  • Proficiency in Java and/or Python

  • A passion for enterprise software and technology innovation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with a minimum 3.3 GPA

  • OR equivalent technical skills gained through work experience or disciplined self-learning


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins or Bamboo

  • Exposure to Continuous Deployment frameworks such as Ansible

  • Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

  • Includes a comprehensive benefits package

  • Final compensation will reflect location, skills, and individual contributions
