Associate Director, Financial Recovery PMO
About the Role
The Financial Recovery Programme operates within the Kent and Medway Integrated Care System, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiencies. It transforms these into evidence-based delivery plans while overseeing the realisation of financial benefits.
The Financial Recovery Programme Management Office (PMO) supports Senior Responsible Officers (SROs) and workstream leads by providing expertise in project development, monitoring, and tracking. This team plays a vital role in ensuring the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and system partners achieve financial recovery during 2024/25 and into 2025/26, maintaining value for money in a fast-paced, complex environment.
This role requires adaptability, strategic leadership, and the ability to engage, challenge, and support senior colleagues across the system.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead an evidence-based approach to identifying productivity and efficiency opportunities.
- Support teams across the system in delivering Cost Improvement Plan (CIP) targets and stretch goals where needed.
- Build strong relationships with SROs and key stakeholders to drive engagement across portfolios.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across the Directorate, the ICB, and wider system partners.
- Provide strategic problem-solving and high-level content preparation for leadership discussions, escalating issues as necessary.
- Assist the Finance Team with routine budget reviews and identification of internal savings opportunities.
- Lead and manage PMO Leads and Officers, ensuring effective programme delivery.
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify national best practices and emerging opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Establish and drive the Improvement Room approach, using data-driven insights to develop cash-releasing plans for 2025/26 and beyond.
