Join Pegasus Group as an Associate Economic Analyst
We are looking for a dedicated Associate Economic Analyst to join our Economics team in Manchester. As an Associate Economic Analyst, you will bring your expertise in economic development and project management to deliver impactful reports and analyses. You will hold a degree in economics, human geography, or a related field, with significant post-qualification experience in economic development. In this role, you will manage projects related to planning statements, economic benefit reports, social value reports, and other similar reports. You will also assist in research projects involving data collection, analysis, and interpretation. We offer the opportunity to work across a diverse range of sectors, including residential, regeneration, commercial, and energy projects.
Key Responsibilities of an Associate Economic Analyst
As an Associate Economic Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering detailed reports and analyses to help inform the strategic direction of our projects. You will oversee the management of a range of economic inputs on planning statements and provide in-depth socio-economic analyses. This role requires a proactive approach to project management, client collaboration, and the application of both quantitative and qualitative research methods to generate valuable insights.
Skills and Experience Required for Associate Economic Analyst

Strong project management experience across economic development projects.

Proficiency in interpreting socio-economic data from multiple sources.

Solid understanding of UK national, regional, and sub-regional economic policy.

Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research and analytical techniques.

Ability to conduct research projects from start to finish, with a focus on economic development.

Knowledge of government policies and combined authorities impacting economic development.

Advanced analytical and presentation skills.

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant software such as GIS (GIS experience not essential).
