Associate Frontend Developer

Role Overview:

As an Associate Frontend Developer at HealthStream, you’ll contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on building practical and user-friendly solutions. You will be responsible for creating accessible and scalable front-end code and engaging in prototyping and iterative design processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and grow in frontend development

  • Deliver prototypes—ranging from low to high fidelity—that align with existing design patterns

  • Write clean, scalable, and accessible HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer and business needs

What You Bring:

Required:

  • Up to 2 years of experience in frontend development

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular)

  • Experience with version control tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, or BitBucket

  • Understanding of user experience (UX) principles

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Invision

  • Experience with Bootstrap, CSS preprocessors, and icon libraries

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies

  • Exposure to frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme)

  • Knowledge of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and design systems
