Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Responsible for managing and executing marketing initiatives for assigned product areas through research, strategic planning, and implementation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior marketing team members to conduct ongoing market research, including engagement with hospital personnel, surgeons, nurses, and sales representatives, as well as surgical observations and literature reviews, to develop and maintain product lines.
  • Identify and implement new product styles, patterns, line extensions, and discontinuations.
  • Work with the Marketing Research Department to analyze and maintain competitive profiles for products and companies, utilizing literature resources.
  • Assist in the development, execution, and periodic updates of the annual marketing plan to strengthen the company’s market position and contribute to the department’s strategic planning.
  • Develop and implement short-term product promotions.
  • Evaluate pricing strategies and collaborate with senior marketing members to execute pricing initiatives.
  • Generate accurate monthly product sales forecasts in coordination with the Forecast Department and senior marketing team.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities with various departments, including sales, operations, research and development, regulatory, and quality assurance, to support marketing plan implementation.
  • Assist in managing the new product introduction process, including preparing product proposals, overseeing project management, and executing launch activities, line extensions, and modifications.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials and promotional items, such as catalogs, brochures, press releases, and training content, for the assigned product line.
  • Provide regular updates on product performance, market trends, and competitive activities.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining training and in-service materials for the product line, conducting product demonstrations and seminars for internal and external personnel as needed.
  • Offer technical product support to sales teams, customer service, and end users.
  • Review marketing and sales materials with management to ensure accuracy and alignment with company objectives.
  • Organize and coordinate company participation in trade shows, workshops, customer meetings, and sales events as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable ISO and FDA regulations, as outlined in the company’s quality manual.

Secondary or Additional Job Functions:

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally by air and car, with occasional weekend work required.
  • Must hold a valid government-issued driver’s license and passport.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Lotus Email, Excel, PowerPoint, and word processing is preferred. Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
  • This position may involve handling instruments that have been exposed to blood or other bodily fluids. In compliance with OSHA regulations, the company ensures a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Must meet and maintain annual Vendor Credentials to gain access to healthcare facilities for marketing and sales purposes.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Must be able to respond to customer inquiries, regulatory agencies, and business community members. Strong presentation skills for engaging with top management, public groups, and boards of directors.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as the ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capable of interpreting complex technical instructions in mathematical or diagram format and managing both abstract and concrete variables effectively.
