Product Manager at IXL Learning

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Product Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our product development, focusing on our users’ needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Championing User Needs: Deeply understanding and advocating for the needs of our students, teachers, and parents.
- Defining Projects: Gathering requirements and clarifying goals for all new initiatives.
- Strategic Design: Making feature design decisions that balance user needs with our overall product strategy.
- Clear Specifications: Producing detailed written specifications for all feature functionality and user flows.
- Collaborative Design: Partnering with visual designers to create innovative and clean user interfaces.
- Technical Alignment: Working closely with engineers to ensure technical designs align with product needs.
- Driving Value: Doing whatever it takes to develop features and deliver meaningful value to our users.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a talented individual with:
- A Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field. Some coursework or experience in computer programming and web technologies is a plus.
- Highly developed analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to apply them independently.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills, with a focus on clarity and conciseness.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Enthusiasm for tackling tough problems independently, from high-level strategy to fine-tuning details.
- An exceptionally organized self-starter who is efficient and thrives under pressure.
- Curiosity, open-mindedness, and an unfailingly positive attitude.
- An interest in design thinking; some UI/UX design coursework or experience is helpful.
- A genuine interest in K-12 education! Classroom or teaching experience is a bonus.
Compensation & Benefits:
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 – $120,000, plus equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by factors like work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
