About the Role

As a Marketing Specialist within the U.S. Commercial Marketing team at CONMED, you will play a vital role in supporting and growing our Shoulder Portfolio through both strategic and tactical marketing initiatives. This role is a blend of U.S.-focused commercial marketing and global upstream responsibilities, offering the opportunity to make a broad impact across multiple teams and markets.


What You’ll Do

U.S. Commercial Marketing Responsibilities

  • Execute and refine marketing initiatives that drive awareness, lead generation, and sales opportunities; track performance and ROI using CRM tools such as Salesforce.

  • Partner with Corporate Marketing Communications to develop and evaluate digital campaigns, using data insights to improve effectiveness.

  • Develop promotional, educational, clinical, and sales support materials to enhance the adoption and performance of current and newly launched products.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance teams to implement pricing strategies, promotional offers, and financial programs that align with corporate revenue goals.

  • Support GPO and IDN efforts by providing competitive pricing analysis and conversion strategies; assist with RFP responses and cross-referencing.

  • Maintain up-to-date competitive intelligence and contribute to product positioning, training programs, and sales enablement materials.

  • Align closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, Regulatory, Quality, S&OP, Manufacturing, Customer Experience) to ensure successful commercial execution.

  • Participate in lab settings and the OR alongside surgeons and sales reps to support product use and adoption.

  • Represent CONMED at major industry conventions, engaging both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage assigned budgets effectively while supporting field sales efforts to maintain and grow customer relationships.

Global Upstream Marketing Responsibilities

  • Serve as the marketing lead on New Product Development (NPD) core teams, delivering regulatory-compliant outputs per FDA and other global standards.

  • Analyze market trends and research data to identify unmet needs and propose strategies for portfolio growth and long-term pipeline development.

  • Contribute to product lifecycle management and portfolio optimization initiatives.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of successful marketing experience in the medical device industry.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and principles.

  • Ability to travel to hospitals and meet credentialing requirements.

  • Located in the Eastern Time Zone.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in the orthopedic or shoulder device market.

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems.


Skills & Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.

  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work across multiple departments and with external partners.
