As a Perishable Representative, you’ll help maintain a well-stocked, clean, and fresh department. Your duties will include preparing, packaging, and merchandising fresh products while meeting all food safety and sanitation standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Customer service and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Key Duties
Customer Service
-
Provide excellent customer support

Take and manage customer orders

Answer product questions and assist with selections
Food Service
-
Prepare, package, and rotate fresh products
-
Use Telxon scanner and assist in technical areas
Sales
-
Merchandise effectively using suggestive selling
-
Promote freshly produced items to drive department sales
Food Safety / Sanitation

Clean display cases and maintain equipment
-
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
Department-Specific Tasks
Aguas
-
Cut, peel, and prep fruits and veggies
-
Make specialty drinks and food items
Floral
-
Design arrangements, manage floral stock, and execute merchandising plans
Market
-
Cut, trim, and package meats
-
Operate prep equipment; maintain coolers/freezers
Produce

Stock, rotate, cut, and price produce

Assist customers and floral department as needed
Seafood
-
Weigh, price, and package seafood
-
Maintain freshness in coolers and freezers
Minimum Requirements

Age 18+
-
High school diploma or GED
-
Completion of Orientation & Safety Training
Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of Telxon, ACR, label machines

Customer-focused attitude

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to read, write, organize, and plan effectively
