Automotive Technician (CDL) – Job Description
We are seeking a dependable Automotive Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. This role involves maintaining and servicing a variety of delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from multiple manufacturers. These vehicles feature diverse propulsion systems, including diesel, gasoline, compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), propane, hybrid, and electric in select locations.
The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls while ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities & Duties

Perform frequent physical activities, including bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders/stairs, standing, walking, and pivoting.

Sit infrequently as required throughout the workday.

Utilize hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools as needed.

Operate both standard and manual transmission vehicles.
Requirements

Valid state-issued driver’s license.

Must meet D.O.T. requirements for the role.

Willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, which may include schedules from Monday-Friday, Sunday-Thursday, or Tuesday-Saturday, depending on location needs.

Must provide personal hand tools required for the job.
Knowledge & Skills

Proven automotive mechanical experience with documented work history.

Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computers.

Owns a full set of personal hand tools for maintenance tasks.

Class A/B or A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – REQUIRED.

Reliable attendance and ability to consistently complete assigned work schedules.

Availability for overtime, additional hours, and variable shifts based on service demands.

Adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity levels, and environments with exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, noise, and outdoor weather conditions.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team.
