About the job

We are looking for a highly motivated Azure IT Support Engineer to join a growing Manchester organisation in a period of digital transformation.

You will be responsible for providing support, troubleshooting, and management of cloud based infrastructure within a Microsoft Azure environment. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach.

What will you be doing:

  • Provide 2nd support for Azure cloud services and infrastructure
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize Azure environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, liaising with vendors where necessary
  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and automation of cloud services
  • Implement and maintain security best practices within Azure environments
  • Collaborate with Development and DevOps teams to improve cloud infrastructure
  • Provide technical documentation and training for internal teams

Desired experience and skills you will require:

  • Proven experience in an Azure IT support environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, Azure Active Directory, Virtual Machines and Networking
  • Microsoft Azure Environment Setup and Management
  • Experience with Azure monitoring tools
  • Understanding of ITIL principles and service management frameworks
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, or similar) are highly desirable
  • Microsoft 365 Administration and application support
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Windows Server Support (Active Directory)
  • Windows Desktop OS Support (Windows 10 and 11)
