About the Role

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Healthcare Support Workers to join our flexible Bank workforce. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with at least 12 months of experience in a hospital, care home, or residential care setting who are looking to work across various clinical areas and departments as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals

  • Support patients with daily personal care, mobility, nutrition, and hygiene needs

  • Accurately document care given and report any concerns or changes in patients’ conditions

  • Assist with clinical observations (after training), including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure monitoring

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure patient safety and dignity

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a hospital, care home, or residential care setting

  • A strong commitment to patient-centred care and the Trust’s CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Encouragement)

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends and nights

  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team

  • Aged 18 or over

Desirable Criteria

  • Care Certificate or relevant healthcare qualification

  • Experience working in multiple clinical settings

  • Knowledge of electronic patient record systems
