We’re looking for suitably qualified doctors across all grades and specialties to join our Staff Bank for flexible, ad hoc shifts—ranging from single shifts to longer-term assignments.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across our three acute hospital sites:
Royal Free Hospital (Hampstead)
Barnet General Hospital (Barnet)
Chase Farm Hospital (Enfield)

Specialties Needed

We are currently recruiting across, but not limited to, the following specialties:

  • Anaesthetics

  • General Medicine

  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology

  • Orthopaedics

  • Paediatrics

  • General Surgery

Key Responsibilities

During your booked shifts, you will:

  • Liaise with nurses, clinicians, patients, and families to ensure coordinated, safe care

  • Participate in ward rounds, board rounds, and handovers

  • Document accurately and uphold high clinical standards

  • Supervise and support junior staff as needed

  • Attend local inductions when working in new areas

  • Uphold Trust values, comply with local policies, and act professionally at all times

Essential Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration

  • Minimum 6 months NHS experience in a paid doctor role

  • Evidence of competencies relevant to your specialty and grade

  • Ability to work independently and safely in a fast-paced NHS setting

  • Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship provided)

  • This is a zero-hours contract with no guaranteed shifts
