About The Role
Banquet Supervisors lead the team of Banquet Servers in set-up, break down and service of all Banquet functions. This is a hands on role, working with the team, and in constant liaison with both onsite and external Event planners, in order to produce the most incredible events.
What You Will Do
- Train, evaluate, lead, motivate.
- Coach all employees in the Hotel’s banqueting operation to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for outlet operation.
- You will need to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
- You should be able to describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
- Control staffing and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
- You will attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and partnership between departments.
- Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
What You Will Bring
- Previous experience in Banqueting or a related role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management position.
- Strong knowledge of Banqueting standards,
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high standard of service.
- Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer skills
