Barge Foreman

Basic Function

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of all production personnel for assigned jobs. This includes ensuring that all work is performed properly, efficiently, safely, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support to the Superintendent and Project Managers.

  • Manage all projects to maximize efficiency of facility, workforce, materials, supplies, equipment, and tools within budget and schedule constraints.

  • Maintain high levels of employee morale and teamwork.

  • Establish crew activities to meet objectives while ensuring safety and quality standards.

  • Communicate ongoing project status with Superintendent, Project Manager, and Project Coordinator.

  • Ensure time cards and Daily Field Reports (DFR) are completed accurately and submitted on time.

  • Request materials, manpower, equipment, and other resources in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Oversee proper use and maintenance of equipment during projects.

  • Enforce company safety policies, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Address and resolve technical and operational issues as they arise.

  • Maintain daily logs of man-hours charged to projects.

  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Superintendent in the best interest of the company.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required).

  • Training: On-the-job training.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the oil & gas industry (fabrication, construction, or pipeline).

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
