Overview
The World, Residences at Sea, is the largest privately owned residential yacht on earth. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for the overall operation and supervision of the assigned bar while providing exceptional service to Residents and Guests. This role involves creating signature cocktails, maintaining an immaculate service standard, and coaching junior bar staff—all while traveling the globe.
Responsibilities
Beverage Operations

Create innovative, signature cocktails using regional and seasonal ingredients.

Support the Beverage Manager with cocktail program research and development.

Supervise and operate the assigned bar, ensuring a welcoming ambiance.

Prepare mise-en-place, restock stations, and maintain cleanliness.

Conduct monthly stock takes, manage inventory, and minimize waste.

Ensure proper handling of transactions, charging, and revenue reporting.
Resident & Guest Services

Exceed expectations through personalized service following Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards.

Stay updated on cocktail and beverage trends.

Anticipate and fulfill Resident and Guest beverage preferences.
General Duties

Report deficiencies and follow up on maintenance using IssuTrax.

Maintain valid eTIPS certification and ensure responsible alcohol service.

Adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Participate in company training, drills, and shipboard activities (e.g., tours, expeditions).
Qualifications, Education & Experience

Fluent in English (additional languages preferred).

Hotel School Diploma and Bartending Certification required.

Minimum 3 years’ bartending experience in luxury cruise ships, hotels, or resorts.

Strong cocktail mixing skills and ability to create innovative drinks.

Knowledge of POS systems and inventory management.

Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook preferred).
Working Conditions

Ability to work 7 days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physically able to stand, walk long distances, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 23 kg.

Must pass STCW safety course and participate in emergency drills.

Work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures.
