Key Responsibilities of the Behaviour Support Assistant Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, your role will include:

Supporting students individually or in small groups to improve classroom behaviour and engagement

Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviours and encourage self-regulation

Working closely with SENCOs and teaching staff to provide tailored support

Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to understand their needs and triggers

Assisting in behaviour management planning and tracking students’ progress
Ideal Candidate for the Behaviour Support Assistant Position
We are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant who:

Has a strong desire to help students with behavioural challenges

Brings prior experience working with children, particularly those with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural issues (preferred)

Exhibits patience, excellent communication skills, and a problem-solving attitude

Has experience in a similar support role or is seeking practical experience in child development or education

Possesses or is willing to apply for an enhanced DBS check
