Key Responsibilities of a Disability Claims Specialist

As a Disability Claims Specialist, you will:

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of disability claims, from adjudication to ongoing evaluation.

  • Review and verify medical, vocational, and contractual data to determine claim eligibility.

  • Maintain clear documentation of actions and rationales for transparency and compliance.

  • Communicate regularly with claimants, employers, medical experts, and brokers.

  • Adhere to ERISA and regulatory standards, ensuring fair and consistent claim handling.

  • Stay informed about insurance industry trends, regulations, and policy updates.

  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking and independence in decision-making.


Qualifications for the Disability Claims Specialist Role
