Position Summary: Manager, Employee Benefits
This role is responsible for leading the strategy, administration, communication, and ongoing improvement of BJC’s health and welfare, retirement, and employee well-being programs. The manager will guide a team of benefits professionals and work closely with HR and organizational leaders to ensure BJC’s benefits remain competitive, compliant, and supportive of employee needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead benefit-related programs and initiatives, including wellness campaigns and annual enrollment.

  • Collaborate with HR Operations to design effective processes and materials that enhance the employee experience.

  • Manage a team, including recruitment, training, workload management, performance evaluations, and professional development planning.

  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets, responding to business needs that may affect financial performance.

  • Evaluate current benefits offerings and develop recommendations based on market research, industry trends, and employee feedback.

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.

  • Oversee the administration of existing benefit programs, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field

  • 5–10 years of experience in benefits or HR administration

  • 2–5 years of people management experience

Preferred:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in benefits leadership

  • 5–10 years of supervisory experience

  • CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) certification
