As a Benefits Partner, you will oversee health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and wellness programs—while acting as the primary point of contact for all benefits-related matters.

Key Responsibilities of a Benefits Partner
As a Benefits Partner, your core responsibilities will include:
Benefits Administration

Oversee daily benefits operations, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.

Partner with payroll for deductions, reconciliations, and accurate benefits reporting.

Communicate benefit options and changes clearly to all team members.
Vendor & Broker Management

Act as a liaison with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators.

Monitor service performance and resolve complex or escalated benefit issues.
Team Member Support & Education

Conduct orientations, webinars, and open enrollment sessions to educate employees.

Assist staff with claims, eligibility, and plan questions to ensure a positive experience.
Compliance & Reporting

Ensure all benefit programs comply with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.

Prepare and review compliance filings such as Form 5500, nondiscrimination testing, and audits.
Strategy & Program Design

Support initiatives that improve participation, reduce costs, and enhance employee satisfaction.

Analyze benefits usage data, identify trends, and present cost-saving recommendations to HR leadership.
Leave Administration

Administer FMLA, ADA, parental, military, and other leave programs.

Track leaves in HRIS, manage communication, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Wellness & Engagement

Drive wellness programs that promote mental health, financial wellness, and preventive care.

Organize wellness events, educational sessions, and engagement campaigns.
Qualifications for the Benefits Partner Role
To excel as a Benefits Partner, you should have:

Minimum 5 years of experience in benefits administration.

Deep understanding of benefits regulations, compliance laws, and HR policies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency with HRIS systems, benefits platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Proven ability to manage confidential data with integrity.

HR certifications such as CBC, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, or CEBS are preferred.
