Overview
HUB International, one of the world’s largest insurance brokers, is seeking a Benefits Technology Specialist to support clients with benefits administration systems. As a Benefits Technology Specialist, you will configure, maintain, and optimize HUB’s preferred Benefits Administration system while providing guidance and training to clients and internal teams. Ideal candidates will have experience in benefits technology or commercial lines insurance, and a passion for learning and supporting others.


Key Responsibilities for Benefits Technology Specialist

  • Configure and maintain HUB’s Benefits Administration system for clients based on their unique requirements.

  • Test system functionality, including integration, regression, and acceptance testing, to ensure accuracy.

  • Update system settings annually and throughout the plan year, including benefit matrices, permissions, rates, and site text.

  • Build and maintain Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) files as needed to support business objectives.

  • Train clients and internal teams on system use and provide demonstrations.

  • Support Employee Benefits producers in presenting HUB’s Benefits Administration system to clients and prospects.


Client Support & Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and provide ongoing support for system-related questions.

  • Assist clients with Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting and compliance.

  • Research and resolve client issues related to HUB products and services.

  • Stay current on industry changes and recommend solutions to clients as needed.


Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 2–4 years of related commercial lines insurance experience within a brokerage environment.

  • Life & Health license preferred.

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with Project Management and database software preferred.

  • Knowledge of employee benefits products, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA regulations.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail.
