Overview
CVS Health is seeking a detail-oriented and high-energy Benefit Verification Specialist to join our national team. In this role, you will work closely with Patient Intake Coordinators and insurance providers to ensure accurate verification of patient insurance coverage for in-home Enteral therapy. As a Benefit Verification Specialist, you play a critical role in creating a seamless and positive patient experience, while supporting healthcare teams and demonstrating exceptional customer service. This is a dynamic position for healthcare professionals who enjoy fast-paced work and making a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.
Key Responsibilities of a Benefit Verification Specialist

Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations for both new and existing patients.

Collaborate with Patient Intake Coordinators to coordinate patient orders efficiently.

Investigate insurance types and coverage levels to confirm patient eligibility.

Communicate effectively with medical professionals, insurance carriers, and patients.

Complete and maintain accurate data entry in ACIS for reporting and tracking.

Follow regulatory compliance, company policies, and best practices in all tasks.

Assist and mentor less experienced team members as needed.

Perform other reasonable duties assigned by leadership to support team success.
Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of customer service or call center experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.

Strong data entry and organizational skills.

High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in home infusion or durable medical equipment (DME).

Prior healthcare experience.

Knowledge of insurance verification processes.
Work Schedule and Compensation

Full-time (40 hours/week) – Day shifts.

Pay Range: $17.00 – $31.30/hour, with potential bonuses or incentives.
