Position Summary

MCL HR Solutions is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bilingual Human Resources Assistant fluent in English and Spanish to support day-to-day HR operations. This role is vital in promoting employee engagement, legal compliance, and effective communication within a bilingual workforce. You’ll support functions like recruitment, onboarding, compliance, payroll, and employee relations while serving as a cultural and communication bridge across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post job listings, coordinate interviews, and assist hiring managers with recruitment in both English and Spanish

  • Support new hire onboarding, including background checks, I-9s, and bilingual orientation sessions

  • Translate onboarding materials, HR policies, memos, and forms into Spanish

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for Spanish-speaking employees

  • Communicate HR policies and benefit information clearly in both English and Spanish

  • Address employee concerns and support issue resolution professionally

  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR document compliance

  • Track employee attendance, leave of absence, FMLA, PTO, and disciplinary actions

  • Assist with compliance in accordance with federal, state, and local labor laws (EEO, ADA, FLSA, OSHA)

  • Provide bilingual support during open enrollment and benefit-related questions

  • Assist payroll processing with timekeeping checks and employee status changes

  • Translate workplace signage and HR communications

  • Support HR events, employee engagement initiatives, and appreciation efforts

  • Assist in preparing employee handbooks, internal reports, and audit documents

  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned by the HR Manager

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 2–4 years of human resources or administrative experience

  • Strong understanding of HR practices and employment regulations is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); HRIS experience preferred

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish

  • High level of discretion and professionalism with sensitive information

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required
