Billing and Platform Specialist:
Join our newly established Great Hearts Christian School as the Billing and Platform Specialist. This dual role is crucial for managing tuition billing, payment processing, financial reporting, and overseeing the school’s digital platforms. You will ensure accurate student accounts, resolve billing issues, provide excellent customer service, and facilitate the effective use of our digital tools.
Billing Specialist Responsibilities (0.5):
- Collaborate with the Great Hearts finance team on account reconciliation and financial reports.
- Manage the full tuition billing process and other school charges.
- Maintain accurate student financial records.
- Generate timely tuition agreements, invoices, and statements.
- Ensure adherence to all billing policies and procedures.
- Address billing inquiries and coordinate payment plans/financial aid with parents.
Platform Specialist Responsibilities (0.5):
- Collaborate with the Great Hearts operations team on platform alignment and use.
- Work closely with Operations team members.
- Build strong relationships with platform vendors and Great Hearts America support (e.g., Raptor, SchoolAxis, Jupiter, Brightwheel).
- Develop and oversee training and change management for various platforms.
- Establish standards and best practices for platform utilization.
- Gather feedback and identify platform needs for business processes.
- Configure platforms as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records in the Student Information System for compliance.
- Provide internal platform support to faculty and staff.
- Manage master schedule entry and ongoing class schedule maintenance in the SIS.
Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths:
- Proven experience in billing or financial administration, ideally in education.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and professional interaction skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Aptitude for learning and using new systems.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and a commitment to excellence.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Relevant experience in billing and platform management.
Additional Requirements:
- Must possess or obtain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP fingerprint clearance card.
- Physical ability to perform required functions (standing, sitting, movement, lifting up to 15 lbs).
- Potential for local and out-of-state travel.
