Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to manage and process accurate billing for our home care services. This position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with payer guidelines, and timely reimbursements. You’ll work closely with HR, scheduling, and third-party billing systems to maintain service accuracy and support smooth payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and submit accurate billing for home care services.

  • Verify authorizations, service codes, and documentation for compliance.

  • Reconcile and resolve billing discrepancies and claim denials.

  • Maintain up-to-date billing records and client files.

  • Collaborate with HR and scheduling teams to ensure accurate service tracking.

  • Follow up with payers, clients, and third-party systems.

  • Ensure timely claims submission according to payer requirements.

  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.

  • 1–2 years of billing experience (preferably in healthcare or home care).

  • Familiarity with Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and private pay billing.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HHAeXchange or similar systems is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
