Tia is seeking a Virtual Billing Coordinator to join our mission-driven team, supporting women’s health and wellness. This full-time, remote role (8am–4:30pm PST) offers $19–$20 per hour and the opportunity to partner with members, providers, and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless billing and care experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Tia members regarding billing, claims, and insurance inquiries.

  • Manage day-to-day member communications via chat and phone, resolving concerns and questions efficiently.

  • Collaborate with providers, specialists, and internal teams to coordinate care and ensure proper claims processing.

  • Review patient bills for accuracy, request missing information, and establish payment arrangements for delinquent accounts.

  • Document all member interactions and communications clearly in standardized systems.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and navigate complex billing workflows.

  • Suggest process improvements to leadership to enhance workflow efficiency and member satisfaction.

  • Cross-train on care coordination workflows to support seamless member experiences.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2–4 years of experience in healthcare billing, claims, or related field.

  • Knowledge of healthcare billing software, medical insurance policies, and medical terminology.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in contact center software, CRM systems, claims/billing platforms, and Google Workspace.

  • Excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.

  • Adherence to HIPAA and healthcare data privacy standards.

  • Reliable internet connection (minimum speeds: 3.8 Mbps download / 3.0 Mbps upload).
