Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Physician Billing Coordinator to manage and oversee physician billing services in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will be responsible for coordinating charge entry, processing patient encounters, applying accurate CPT/ICD-10 codes, and ensuring clean claims are submitted in compliance with CMS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate physician billing processes and handle charge entries in practice management systems

  • Review and enter diagnostic and procedural codes (ICD-10, CPT, modifiers)

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve pending/missing billing data

  • Ensure accurate claims processing in accordance with CMS and payer requirements

  • Clear billing worklists in a timely and efficient manner

  • Support home health and physician practice billing workflows

  • Perform medical record reviews and documentation audits as needed

  • Stay updated with changes in billing guidelines and regulatory policies

  • Assist in appeals, denials management, collections, and claims reviews

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma, GED, Certification, or equivalent required

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in charge entry or claims management

  • Background in coding, billing audits, collections, and charge reviews preferred

  • Experience with electronic medical records and billing systems

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and claims management procedures

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)

  • Strong time-management and multitasking skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Detail-oriented and able to thrive in deadline-driven environments

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with physicians
