Key Responsibilities for the Billing Representative

Monthly Close and Financial Reporting

  • Coordinate and complete the monthly close process, ensuring timely financial statement preparation.

  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and review month-end variances.

  • Apply client contract terms to revenue recognition and support month-end accounting processes.

  • Prepare audit lead schedules for external auditors.

Data Analysis and Contract Management

  • Compile and analyze financial and related contract data to support reporting and forecasting.

  • Perform complex client audits and generate reports for management review.

  • Provide variance explanations for monthly forecasts and assist with financial planning.

Collaboration and Process Support

  • Work closely with finance team members and other departments to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and client contract requirements.

  • Assist in identifying process improvements and contribute to team efficiency initiatives.


Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.

  • 6+ years of accounting and financial analysis experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain discretion.

Preferred Skills

  • CPA, CIA, or CISA certification strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively.
