Billing Specialist – Revenue Accounting at Stord (Remote/Hybrid)

Stord, The Consumer Experience Company, is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Accounting team. Stord powers seamless checkout and fulfillment for leading DTC and B2B brands, managing over $10 billion in commerce annually. As a Billing Specialist, you’ll ensure accurate client billing, analyze complex data sets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth revenue operations. Key Responsibilities for the Billing Specialist

Data Review and Analysis

  • Analyze large volumes of client-specific workflow and parcel data.

  • Correlate operational workflows with contractual terms to ensure billing accuracy.

  • Identify and resolve outliers or discrepancies, summarizing findings for resolution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Implementations, Operations, and Customer Experience teams.

  • Onboard new clients, confirm rate cards, refine workflow processes, and address disputes or collections issues.

  • Develop best practices to improve communication and efficiency across teams.

Documentation and Monitoring

  • Maintain updated customer workflow documentation aligned with invoice processes.

  • Track and resolve disputes in Freshdesk, adhering to SLA metrics.

Accounting and Reporting

  • Record Accounts Receivable (AR) and revenue in NetSuite via invoices or journal entries.

  • Provide customer-specific analysis and financial metrics to support the Controller and FP&A team.

Audit Support

  • Assist with internal and external audit requests as needed.


Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 5+ years of experience in omnichannel, supply chain, or logistics-related roles.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data validation.

  • Experience handling and analyzing large datasets.

  • Strong knowledge of revenue accounting principles.

  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.

Soft Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous billing, data analysis, or revenue operations experience.
