About the Role
The Home Infusion Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for processing medical claims with precision and efficiency. This role focuses on reducing denial rates, improving collections, and ensuring compliance with standard revenue cycle practices. The position is 100% remote, offering flexibility while contributing to a team that values accuracy, process improvement, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities

Create and submit medical, pharmacy, and third-party claims accurately and timely.

Resolve rejected electronic claims and prevent future denials.

Maintain ready-to-bill delivery tickets and communicate statuses effectively.

Document case activity, communications, and correspondence in CareTend.

Contribute billing expertise to training, process improvements, and policies within the RCM team.

Perform other duties as assigned to support revenue cycle and patient care goals.
Required Skills & Abilities

Excellent communication skills: listening, speaking, and writing in English.

Strong understanding of billing and collection processes for all payer types.

Problem-solving skills to identify gaps, implement solutions, and ensure compliance.

Exceptional organization skills for tracking cases and documentation.

Proficiency with MS Office and pharmacy-related software.

Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision and meet productivity targets.
Education & Experience

2–5 years of home infusion billing or collections experience.

High School Diploma plus specialized training in intake, pharmacy/medical billing, or collections.

Experience in an infusion suite setting is a plus.

Previous remote work experience is advantageous but not required.

Attention to detail with post-billing and post-payment investigative experience preferred.
